Yasuki Tanaka is the creator of the Japanese manga series Summer Time Rendering. From October 2017 to February 2021, it was published on Shueisha’s digital magazine Shnen Jump+. From April through September 2022, OLM’s version of an anime television series aired. There have also been announcements for a live-action movie, an actual escape game, and a video game.
After his parents passed away, Shinpei Ajiro spent his formative years living with the Kofune sisters Ushio and Mio before moving to Tokyo to live alone. After learning about Ushio’s drowning two years later, he goes back to his homeland on Hitogashima Island in Wakayama Prefecture to attend her funeral. However, when he learns that Ushio has strangle marks on her neck, suggesting that she was deliberately killed, Shinpei became skeptical.
Shinpei, who is now plagued by her “ghost,” works with Mio to try to uncover the truth about what actually transpired to Ushio in order to maybe protect the locals from a mysterious dark mystery.
